Self Service Password Portal – Office 365 (Staff, Faculty and Students)

Service Description:
Pitzer’s new Office 365 self-service portal, which replaces the old PitPass page, allows staff, faculty and students the ability to change and recover their passwords online. With self configured security prompts, users will have the ability to choose their desired recovery method as well as modify them at anytime.

How to Access:
Click on a link below for corresponding instructions.
Initial Password Security Prompt Setup
Follow the instructions below to guide you thru the initial security prompt setup.
Go to: Office 365 Portal
Log in using the format: username@pitzer.edu (replace “username” with your Pitzer issued username)
Select Next.

Enter your Password.
Select Next.

You will be directed to a page to provide more information.
Click Next.

Here please choose and setup 1 or more of the required recovery/security options.

Once completed select Finish.
Password Change
Follow the instructions below to guide you thru changing your password.
Go to the password change page by clicking here
Log in using the format: username@pitzer.edu (replace “username” with your Pitzer issued username).
Select Next.

Enter your current Password.
Select Next.

Once you are logged in:
It should take you directly to the password change page.

If not, click the user icon in the upper right corner of the screen (it will typically be your initials or a picture).

Choose My account.
Click on Security & privacy.
Click on Password.

Enter your current password.
Enter your new password and then enter it again to confirm.
Select Submit.
Password Recovery
Follow the instructions below to recover a lost or forgotten password.
Go to Pitzer’s homepage and click on Webmail.
Choose the corresponding student, faculty or staff email link.

Note: You cannot recover your password unless you have setup the initial security prompts.
Log in using the format: username@pitzer.edu (replace “username” with your Pitzer issued username).
Select Next.

Choose Forgot my password.

Enter the characters as indicated.
Click Next.

Choose the Verification method you wish to use to recover your password.
Click one of the recovery options you have setup.

Once verified you will be given instructions on how to reset your password.
Password Security Prompt Reset
Follow the instructions below to reset your Office 365 security prompt options.
Go to: Office 365 Portal
Log in using the format: username@pitzer.edu (replace “username” with your Pitzer issued username)
Select Next.

Enter your Pitzer Password
Select Sign in.

You will be re-directed to the following page.
Click your initials/ profile picture at the top right of the page.
Select View Account.

Find the Security Info section and select Update Info.

At this page you will see any current devices/ accounts you have setup.
You can add a new device by selecting + Add Method and selecting a method you would like to authenticate with to reset your password.

Depending on the chosen method, you will need to prove you have access to this phone number or email address by entering a code that will be sent to you.

Once verified, select Done. You should see the new authentication method in the Security Info section.
